Downtown Grand Rapids is walkable! Attendees at meetings and events held at any of the city's downtown venues have everything they could need within a few short blocks. Take a look:

There are nine hotels within walking distance of convention center, with two more in the works for 2020. Currently, three hotels – Amway Grand Plaza, Curio Collection by Hilton; JW Marriott Grand Rapids, and Courtyard by Marriott – are connected to the convention center by the city's climate-controlled indoor skywalk system so you can leave your umbrella behind.

Want to take in a bit of culture in between seminars? Take your pick from six area museums. They include the Grand Rapids Art Museum, the Urban Institute of Contemporary Arts, the Grand Rapids Public Museum with a planetarium, the Grand Rapids African American Museum and Archives, and the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum. (The sixth one is the Grand Rapids Children's Museum, but it's good to find your inner child once in a while!)

Live music is easily found at downtown venues, big and small. The Van Andel Arena features megastars like Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, while The Intersection and The Pyramid Scheme draw their own big names. And several bars, restaurants or clubs feature local and regional music. Attendees can find 100+ live music options with the Grand Rapids Music Trail

And that's just a partial list. There are also a variety of stores and boutiques for shopping, theater venues for a show, and a beautiful riverwalk for a stroll along the Grand River, all within walking distance of your event site.
